If you’ve seen Disney’s Jungle Cruise then you’ve had a glimpse of the natural scenery Kauai offers.

All of the island footage was shot at multiple locations Kauai. The first span of the shoot was captured at Kapaia Reservoir, Kauai, near Wailua Falls, where a port town was created for the production. The team took about one month to scout, two months to design and four months to build, dress and landscape the set.

A variety of other Kauai locations were used, including the town of Lihue, the Kauai Plantation Railway and Huleia Stream. Additional scenes for the film were filmed in Blackhall Studios in Atlanta and Oxford College of Emory University.

The film features a renowned cast, including Duane Johnson, a veteran of Hawaii film productions including starred in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Emily Blunt.

A sequel has been announced and we look forward to another cruise!
